Came badly dented, and won’t turn on. 100% non-fucntional. You can’t return without calling LG first. They deny any responsibility for the huge dent (note, the box wasn’t dented, so the damage wasn’t incurred during shipping). LG says I must talk to Amazon because the unit was in its warehouse for 5 months, and they must have damaged the unit. Meanwhile, it’s finally gotten hot in Connecticut, and my grandson has no a/c while I wait for a technician who may or may not fix the electrical problem, but won’t do anything about the huge dent,
My mistake. I went to the Consumer Report website, and it recommended LG modelLW1216ER. So I clicked on the picture, and for some unknown reason, the LW8019ER appeared. I thought I was ordering the smaller unit. Anyway, being old and not the smartest, I ordered it. When it arrived, I could see that it would not fit any of my windows. And because it cannot be returned, even though it’s unused, and still in the box, I’m stuck with it. Guess I’ll have to buy from Walmart next time.
This AC is hard to install This AC is hard to install. There are multiple steps and the directions are hard to follow. I bought two units. One worked fine and the other did not (it arrived with a damaged part). To my surprise this item can not be returned. I do not recall being warned about the no return policy when I bought it. To get my money back for the danged unit it took multiple callas and request to send pictures of the damaged part. I was on the phone for a long time and was transferred from one rep to another…
