Portable A/C kept us cool My central A/C unit broke down, and I needed a new compressor. I purchased this unit as a stop gap measure, and it fit the bill to perfection. I used it in a 400 sq. ft bedroom, and it quickly cooled the room down. I like the single hose solution, and the auto evaporation without having to run a drain line. Terrible, Worst AC Unit ive ever bought.. Was loud since day 1. I let it stand upright like they recommend for over 6+ hours before operating upon arrival. Always made a loud clunk between shifting on ac mode and off. Then about 2 months in, Bam, random fan hitting a part inside sound. Loud as hell.. Sounds like a damn lawn mower in my room. The air pressure once the hose is connected somehow pushes the fan against a part and it smacks around. Worst AC unit ive ever purchased. Please dont waste your money on this product or this…
